The venue is charming, clean and the location is marvellous really close to the mountain, a restaurant up in the mountains, and the beach. The staff is affable, the breakfast is great. The rooms are amazingly comfortable and decent, with a safe box, central heating, and a work desk. They have a huge variety of meals to choose from, the food is brilliant. Thank you for an excellent stay

Nice location, far from the tourist crowds and yet close to the the popular places. Very nice swiming pool and relax area in the garden, very good breakfast out in the garden. Nice and clean rooms.
Poorly sound isolated rooms, you hear a lot of what goes on in the corridors..

The service at Stella D'Oro hotel was exceptional. I had an issue with the bathroom in my room, and the staff promptly took action to address the problem. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort during my stay. The bar and dining area were also clean and well-maintained. I had a pleasant experience at Stella D'Oro Hotel.

The hotel had a very relaxed friendly feel. The 'antica' apartments we stayed in were well presented and our apartment had a fantastic view across the village, the lake and the mountains. The pool was clean and ideal for our children. The location is great, within 2 mins walk of the centre of the quaint, traditional Italian village of Pieve in the Tremosine region. Would certainly recommend as a good value, relaxed base for couples or families.
Towels were not included and charged at 4€ per person, but this is a minor point considering the positives. Although the location is fantastic, it is approximately 600m above lake level and accessed via a spectacular but at times challenging (when meeting oncoming traffic) mountain road which winds through rocky arches and tunnels. It's impressive but not for the timid.

Gorgeous view of Lake Garda from the hilltop location. The swimming pools were delightful, and the garden was perfect for relaxation. Free parking and Wi-Fi were a plus.
Oh dear, the snack bar's food wasn't quite up to par. But hey, who needs good food when you have a stunning view, right?

First of all, the trip to the hotel is very nice going up the mountain from the lake. The hotel is simple and nice, free internet and above average breakfast. Very hot water and heating in the room.
After 9pm there is nobody to talk to in the hotel. The key was left on the counter but we didn't get the internet code. As usual, double room is a twin room with the beds placed together. We didn't get a room with view to the lake, I think the hotel room show specify "mountain view" if the view is to the mountain and not to the lake.

It is a simple, unpretentious hotel reflecting the warm bonding simplicity of the village itself. Yet it satisfies almost all the standards expected from the place to stay and feel comfortable. The back yard facilities and the "unofficial" approach to them are great. As well as the atmosphere at the breakfast that could be leisurely shifted to open-air terrace.
The state of mattresses and pillows seems a little bit suboptimal, but that might be, of course, the matter of subjectiveness.
